Hello, my name is Dave Kerrigan, and welcome to FundBlast.
FundBlast was created with a few simple goals in mind including connecting fundraisers with sponsors, good causes with supporters and great products with consumers. As we developed FundBlast, we found that everyone involved benefitted; schools, their groups and athletics programs benefitted, and merchants that were featured on the products and in the videos benefitted. Professional fundraising reps also benefitted from the value added service they gave to their customers, and consumers benefitted by the easy access to information about products. FundBlast is the first website to include so much information on both fundraising causes and the products being offered and it's also the first website of its kind to provide advertising benefits to sponsors, a tremendous opportunity for businesses and people everywhere. FundBlast.com further empowers people with the ability to easily set up their fundraiser and promote their cause and products to local communities and reach people all across the country.
During our market research and among the feedback we received, people told us that they wanted to gift these great products to family and friends. People, for instance who lived in Colorado wanted to buy quality discount products such as the Gold, Premium or Power Cards for friends and family who lived in Arizona, likewise people who lived in Arizona wanted to gift these discount cards to people who lived in Washington and so on. Having the ability to buy or gift a quality discount product such as these that have unlimited use and are good for one year, but also a product that is local to family and friends is a great way to keep in touch, but it's an even better way to keep supporting fundraising causes such as school groups and athletic programs. A win-win for everyone. Our feedback also showed that groups who used the "Letter writing campaign" to raise money would also benefit by promoting their fundraiser at FundBlast, especially when they produced a video about their cause. These groups typically don't sell products, they depend on the generous support from family and friends. However, with the ability to upload a video or record directly from a webcam to the FundBlast video recorder, these groups could tell their story and get much more support from people because they are providing much more information about the fundraiser or cause. The difference is striking, like reading a book versus watching a movie.
We also found that professional fundraising companies with experienced reps can offer an invaluable service and help to facilitate successful fundraising programs from start to finish.
